In addition to the services provided at Benmar House, MS Research and Relief Fund also works in partnership with organisations to provide Outreach provisions at centres across the North East of England. These Outreach provisions allow us to bring the services we offer to people affected by MS to those who may otherwise be unable to benefit from them.

Outreach provisions

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, MSRRF were required to stop all services, including our Outreach provisions. As the country tentatively moves towards a new normal, we are looking at ways in which we can offer our services throughout the North East again.

We are in the process of reviewing all Outreach provisions, both the locations / facilities where they take place and the services offered and this may result in some changes to our provisions. Only when we are certain that we can provide Covid-19 Secure Outreach provisions will we be re-opening in any location.

When we do open any Outreach provision we will announce it here and on our social media platforms.

Current Outreach locations and facilities

To date we have re-opened an Outreach provision at Belmont in Durham. Seated exercise classes are available by appointment only on Monday and Friday between 10:30 and 12:30, at Belmont Parish Hall.

The group who used to attend the Phab Club in Jarrow are now supported by MSRRF at The Charles Young Centre meeting every Wednesday morning.

For further information regarding attending any of our Outreach provisions, please contact us.

This is the full list of locations at which we previously provided Outreach provisions.

We are always looking to increase our scope and add more provisions across the North East, particularly into areas which currently have no similar services available. As soon as we announce any new services, we’ll add them to the list.

The locations of our Outreach provisions are also marked on the interactive map below, as well as the location of our main service centre of Benmar House. If you are interested in joining one of our Outreach provisions, please click here for more information on how to register for our services.
