As of Wednesday 25th March 2020 at 17:00, MS Research and Relief Fund will be shut down due to the ongoing COVID-19 / Coronavirus outbreak. The office at Benmar House will be closed and staff will be unable to answer incoming phone calls. If you have an urgent enquiry, please email Diane, MSRRF Charity Manager on d.charlton@msrrf.org.uk.

All of MSRRF’s services, both at Benmar House and Outreach provisions, remain cancelled until further notice. Following the most recent guidelines issued by the UK Government, MS Research and Relief Fund has suspended all appointments and services as of Monday 23rd March 2020. No services – either classes or one-to-ones – will operate until further notice.

Staff at MSRRF will be reviewing the situation on a regular basis and will provide any further updates here on our website and our Facebook page.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we are taking the steps necessary to protect our service users and the charity’s staff. More information regarding COVID-19, associated symptoms and how you can best protect yourself against it can be found at the Gov.uk website.

From 17th March 2020, MSRRF will be cancelling all GROUP activities and classes both at Benmar House and at Outreach Centres (Belmont, Berwick, Howden, Jarrow, Leadgate, Meadowfield).

We will continue to offer FREE one to one therapies and gym sessions for as long as we are able.

For anyone wishing to attend our Services, please only attend if you are free from Covid-19 symptoms (new continuous cough and/or high temperature), as we need to protect both ourselves and each other, more information regarding symptoms can be found at the Gov.uk website.

MS Research and Relief Fund’s services are operating as normal. With the current headlines and government advice, we’d like to take the opportunity to remind all of our service users of our sickness policy.

If you are feeling under the weather with ANY sickness, cold or suspected illness, please do not attend your appointment. Call us on 01670 505829 to let us know as soon as possible so we can attempt to reallocate your session.

Following the recent news about COVID-19 / Coronavirus, please familiarise yourself with the information given on the Government website here, including the indicators of higher risk, such as recent travel in certain countries.

Please ensure that you wash your hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and warm water to impede the transmission of any infection, including the Coronavirus, and make sure to contact us if you feel you will be unable to make your scheduled appointment.
