Volunteers

We don’t know where we’d be without our volunteers.

MS Research and Relief Fund's volunteers are an invaluable resource for us and are at the core of what we do and how we will grow as a charity in the future. Their work, knowledge and skills are invaluable to us and the people we support, and our gratitude to them is never ending!

Our board of trustees – all of whom are volunteers themselves – would like to thank all volunteers, past and present, for their hard work, commitment and dedication.

EVENTS

Our volunteers are providing invaluable support during some of the events we run at MSRRF and we wouldn't be able to provide such a diverse range of activities without them.

Business Volunteering

We're always looking for offers from people to volunteer with us. Many businesses involve volunteering schemes where employees can offer their services for a couple of days per year. Here's a couple of examples we've had recently:

Yorkshire Bank

This summer, three people from Yorkshire Bank in August came to Benmar House to paint the fences in our garden. What may seem like a simple activity was something that had been overlooked recently and we were grateful for them to pitch in.

Virgin Money

We were delighted to be joined by three members of staff from Virgin Money's Morpeth branch at this year's Great North Run. Thanks to our partnership in the event with the MS Society, we were able to use their cheer station on the course and the volunteers came along to cheer our runners home, making a huge difference to the impact the charity's presence on the day had to our runners, providing them with a even more memorable experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our volunteers make a huge impact on the services and provisions that we can provide to our service users. Roles vary from providing a warm welcome for service users to running classes and therapies.
